I have gained many interests in my twenty-one years of life. Some are personal, some educational and some professional; all interests I find important to me. For my personal interests, I am very close with my family and friends. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for the people I love. My whole family is very close with each other and we all go on vacations together every year to Disney. There are about twenty- five of us that go every year. I also really like the subject of art. I feel that painting is a very therapeutic. When I have hard times I always find myself going to a canvas and painting.
In my educational interests right now is really just finishing school and graduating. I feel that education is very important and without it you will not be able to succeed in life. My majors are elementary education and writing arts. I am in the elementary education club here at Rowan University. I am interested in special needs that students have and how to meet those needs so the students can learn with ease. I really like observing students and seeing when they can really learn to read. I find it so interesting the different techniques and strategies teachers have to help students learn.
My professional interests may seem a bit “watered down” as of right now. The fact being that I am not a professional in anything yet. I really would love to become a teacher. Hopefully, once I graduate that dream can come true. As of right now I am a waitress. However, once I become a teacher I will really like to help students learn in the best ways for them. I also would really like to coach soccer or basketball. I really enjoy both those sports and hope to one day show children how great those sports are.
